Gore Launches New Automotive Vents for High-Severity Applications

As automotive systems become more automated and software-defined, system reliability and safety requirements continue to rise. W. L. Gore & Associates has launched a new range of Automotive Vents for High-Severity Applications, designed to meet the demands of safety-critical vehicle components where compliance and cleanliness cannot be compromised.

These venting solutions are qualified for severity levels 9 and 10 and align with key automotive safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262, IATF 16949, and VDA 4992. They are optimized for integration in systems like advanced driver assistance (ADAS), brake control modules, electronic power steering, and other safety-critical modules.

The new portfolio includes three product forms — Standard Series (AMF400114, AMF400114CP), High Temperature Series (AMF400167, AMF400167CP), and Compact Series (AMF400200, AMF400200CP) — each offering reliable ingress protection up to IP68 and IPX9K, durability, and compliance with flammability requirements.

Each vent is engineered with materials and design choices that support functional safety, enabling engineers to deliver robust solutions for components used in electrified and autonomous vehicle platforms where pressure management and contamination prevention are essential.
