Gore Introduces High-Speed Data Cables for Ultralight Solutions

W. L. Gore & Associates has announced the introduction of its High-Speed Data Cables for Ultralight Solutions, engineered to deliver significant weight savings—up to 50% lighter than many industry-standard cables—without sacrificing electrical integrity or reliability. These ultralight cables combine exceptional signal quality, mechanical durability, and compact design for demanding applications.

Compared to Gore’s existing offerings, the new cables weigh up to 25% less while still meeting the rigorous performance standards required by aerospace, defense, and advanced mobility OEMs. Typical applications include defense drones, advanced air mobility (eVTOL), and fixed-wing or rotary aircraft where every gram of weight savings can matter.

According to Andrea Menconi, Product Line Director for High-Speed Data Cables, Gore remains committed to engineering innovative solutions that minimize weight while preserving performance and durability.

The product line is available in multiple configurations, including Ethernet CAT6A (ultralight), Shielded Twisted Pair (100 Ohm), and CAN Bus.
